About Us

Founded by Aimee O’Keeffe and Amy Wallace, Amata Interiors is an interior design studio based in London and Kent.

Having met while studying at KLC School of Design, Aimee and Amy discovered a shared passion for refined aesthetics and thoughtful layouts to create interiors that are both beautifully curated and personal.

Background

Aimee started her career in publishing, first at Vanity Fair and then at Condé Nast Traveller, working with global luxury brands and leading creative teams to deliver bespoke concepts for clients.

Amy built a ten year career as Legal Counsel for Gap and Banana Republic, providing legal advice to support the growth and operations of a fast-paced, global retail business.

We both took a career break to raise our children before retraining in interior design. Our collective experiences have nurtured in us a meticulous eye for detail and a flair for balancing creativity alongside practicality.

Our Name

The name "Amata" holds special significance for us, as it is derived from the Latin origin of both of our names, Aimee and Amy - a single name capturing us both! The sentiment behind the name Amata - meaning “beloved” - is at the heart of everything we do: designing spaces that are cherished, timeless, and filled with warmth.

What We Do

We specialise in transforming spaces into refined and welcoming homes that feel truly personal. Whether you're looking to refresh a single room or reimagine your entire home, we offer thoughtfully tailored designs that work for you and your budget.
